Getting Started With Member Wizard

Why We’re Changing

Our current system, UMAS, has served us reliably for more than ten years. It was provided by U3A Network at no cost to U3A Ringwood. As technology and member needs have evolved, U3A Network has introduced a more modern system called Member Wizard. This new platform has been designed to better support U3As across Victoria and will continue to be provided free of charge.

What’s New

From 1 July, here’s what will change:

  • You’ll use the Member Wizard Member Portal to enrol in classes, report absences, and manage your membership. You’ll need an email address to access the portal. A one-time registration is required to get started

  • We will email you a membership fee/class fee invoice when you join or are due to renew your membership. Very few classes charge additional fees.

  • Classes no longer have class codes associated with them and class enrolments no longer use a “Cart” in the Checkout process.

  • You can renew, re-enroll and pay fees online and more within the Member Portal

  •  eMails from us will look a little different, but the information will remain familiar

  • Tutors can easily communicate with class members through the portal.

  • PayPal is no longer available. Member Wizard uses STRIPE for all online payments.

You still use your current UMAS membership number (if you have one) or email address (if you do not share it with another member) to sign on to Member Wizard. However, you need to set a password for the new system.

Getting Started

From 1 July, follow these simple steps to register for Member Portal (You only have to do this once):

  • Go to u3aringwood.org.au

  • Click the blue Member Portal button

  •  Select Register for Member Portal Access. Do not use Reset Password option.

  • Enter your email address or member number and click Next then Send

  •  Check your email’s inbox for your registration number. Enter it in the portal and click on Confirm Registration Number.  Please note your email system may take 30 mins or more to retrieve the registration number email. You also have up to 24 hours to use the registration number.

  • Think of a strong password, enter it, save it then remember it!

Once done, you’ll be logged in and ready to go.

The next time you want to use the Member portal use the option to log on using your member ID or the one using your email address.
